As you will know that apple blossoms actually have a few things that you need to draw: the flower, the bud as well as leaves.
If you want to do them in watercolor then make sure that you check out this image and use it as a point of reference for when you will be ready to color it all in.;
When drawing, you will have the main flower and a sub-flower.;
The main flower will be the center of attention for the viewer. It will be where if you draw it well enough, the rest of the flowers if not done as well as you would have hoped, would still look pretty good.

As we discussed previously, drawing an apple tree blossom has several components to it.;
How you place the flower on a tree branch will make all the difference. Use it as refrence.;
In order to make an apple blossom the most realistic, if your leaves vary it will always create a result that you like. This is why add in the variety of closed and fully open leaf.
If you follow the instructions, you will be able to create this epic flower drawing!
Step 1:;Create a rough outline of the poppy flower. Mark the middle of the flower with an oval shape.;
Step 2:;From the middle oval mark start outline the first petals. From there, draw three lines pointing in peace sign direction and going a little bit outside of the initial rough outline.;
Step 3: Finalise the design by adding in the neccessary details and add in different folds and shapes that make the flowers look like poppies and that give them the perfect charachter for flowers.;
This guide shows how to draw a flower from the side. It is similar to from front just different perspective this time. This guide makes the flower drawing easy.
Do not forget at the end to add in the defining folds on petals as that is what makes a difference between a successful poppy drawing and just a basic flower.;
This is a different flower poppy breed that reminds me a little of a peony flowers. I left it till last as it is clearly more complex and fun.;
I gave my daughter the middle name Lily as I thought she was the most beautiful thing I had ever seen when she was born. And thats what I think of Lily flowers.
My wife loves Lilys but hates the red dust that seems to drop off after a few days and stain everything they land on.
To draw a Lily, draw a circle for the base of the flower as in step 1. Draw a small almost vertical tightly drawn circle with a circle at the base of that.
In step 2, sketch in what will become about 7 petals that are flopping down at the ends.
Sketch in the stamen and the tips of the stamen and add some rough shading for the petals.
In step 3, add some shading with pencils to darken the petals up as this will add more depth or dimensionality; then finally use an eraser carefully so as not to disturb too much of what we have just drawn but enough to add some highlights and to also clean out any mistakes that crop up here and there.
Add some shading and light lines for the lily petals and smudge them with your finger or thumb. Add some shading to your stem and smudge this as well.
Another pretty flower drawn in pencil.

Step 2: Draw the outline for the vase using straight lines.
Step 3: Draw the center of every flower as shown below, also draw some leaves randomly. Delineate the shape of the jug, draw an oval for the base.
Step 4: Draw petals of the flowers as we did for sunflower drawing, draw handle of the jug with parallel lines. Also, finish the bottom of the jug
Step 5: Define the stems by thickening the outline drawn. Add a few more long leaves to the drawing.
Step 6: Draw the second layer of petals wherever required. Delineate the leaves with proper shapes.
Step 7: Draw the sepals of the flowers and other details required.
Step 8: Contour the flowers with shading and darkening the outlines.
Step 9: Erase all the extra lines from the drawing.

First and foremost, I just want to disclaim that I am a self-taught artist. My methods are probably not the correct techniques used, but honestly, who cares?!
Art is about an expression of self. No one can tell you that youre doing it wrong because really, there is no wrong. You just do it. Just sit back and let the creative process flow naturally.
Dont get hung up on the proper way to draw. If you do, youll never start, and if you never start, youll never learn.
If youre wanting to create flower drawings but you think you arent good enough, then I will let you in on a little secret: I only started drawing flowers when I started my bullet journal back in July 2017.
I found the more I drew them, the easier they became and the better I got. It all comes back down to practice. If I can do it, anyone can. To make it even easier for you, Ive even included an illustrated guide of the steps in my flower drawing tutorial.
Cosmos is a beautiful and ancient constellation that can be seen on the celestial sphere. It has a beautiful, delicate blossom with petals that come in many different colors. There are many different ways to draw Cosmos, but this post will show you one of the easiest methods. Lets start to draw:
Create a smaller circle in the center of the original one.
In the larger circle all around, draw the petals. The shapes and sizes of all should be almost the same.
Referencing a line will help you draw the stem.
Draw the semicircles as you trace the smaller circle, forming a flower-like figure. In the center, you can put something if you want.
Identify the petals by tracing their outline. Petal in front of and petal behind need to be distinguished.
The larger circle and stem should be outlined to look good.
Now you have to add more details.
Fill in the flower with color.

Geraniums are one of the most easy to draw flowers, simple petals that change shape based on the variety of Geranium of which there are hundreds of varieties. You really cant get drawing a geranium wrong.
I call geraniums a weed as we cant seem to kill the ones we have growing in our yard and growing cuttings is as simple as snapping off a stem and placing it in dirt.
Start by drawing a much larger circle and then a small disc in the middle where we will sketch out the outline form of the petals.
Draw 5 light outlines for petals, they are usually uneven and oddly shaped so as I said before, you cant get this one wrong.
Lightly shade each petal and smudge towards the centre of the flower and also some on the tips.
Lightly draw in some veins on the petals.
The pistil can be 3 roughly drawn blobs or circles that can be shaded lightly.
Now grab the kneaded eraser and erase some of the shading around the base of the pistil and also erase around some parts of the petal to give it the illusion of highlights and help accentuate the shadows.
I also erased some of the edges around the petals to give the edges the effect of lighting.

This rose looks a little more realistic than the first one, but it’s still easy enough for beginners, If you follow each step I share for how to draw this cute rose, you should be able to get similar results and with practice, your rose not only will look better but eventually, you will not need guides to draw them.
1 We are going to start by drawing a small and wide heart shape. This will be the center of the bulb of the rose. After that, we will draw another heart, but this time longer and less wide. We will also place the top center of the heart off to the side, this way it will have a more organic look to the center instead of a perfectly symmetrical one.
2 Now we will define the center petals, starting from the center of the bigger heart. We will follow the side edge of the heart. For the opposite side, we will start a little above the center point and mirror the first stroke. After that, we will draw lines from the small heart down as shown below and another across the heart in a curve motion.
3 Next we will draw an elongated ellipse and continue the line from the bottom of the bigger heart until it touches the bottom ellipse line. And just like on the first round rose, we will make lines for the center of the rose. After that, we will start with the outer petals, for the first one, we will start at the bottom point of the oval and draw an uneven line, make sure you go below the top of the bigger heart to give it a more fluid look.

Before photography, botanical illustration was used to document the form, color, and details of plant life, but today, many contemporary artists and illustrators still strive to showcase the beauty of flowers through their art. One of those artists is Kate Kyehyun Park, who paints beautiful blooms in watercolor.
The Korean illustrators ever growing portfolio showcases her talent for creating beautiful botanical watercolor illustrations, but she doesnt keep her skills to herself. Instead, she shares her drawing tips on Instagram, detailing the various steps to rendering different kinds of botanicals with pencil and paper. From poppies to cosmos flowers, her instructive sketches show how you too can achieve perfect proportions and realistic details in just 3 steps.
First, Park breaks the flower down into simple shapes. For example, her hand-drawn tulips start out as a line for the stem and a simple oval shape for where petals are. She then adds details, refining the petal shapes and how they overlap each other. The third step involves refining the shapes further and adding smaller details like petal veins and textured centers. Now that you know the secret to drawing flowers, you can sketch entire gardens of blooms!
